Governance and Compliance
Measurable outcomes the organization commits to achieving through its AI governance program. Objectives should align with policy, risk appetite, legal obligations, and business priorities. Good objectives are measurable and governance-relevant, such as completion of high-risk assessments, closure of audit findings, reduction in unapproved AI use, or monitoring coverage for production models.
Salesforce publishes Trusted AI metrics including the percentage of GenAI features that completed Ethics by Design reviews before release.
Capital One's Model Risk Management program tracks objectives such as percentage of in-scope models with validated documentation and overdue annual review counts.
Under ISO 42001 clause 6.2, organizations must establish AI objectives that are measurable, monitored, communicated, and updated as appropriate.
